SOUTH CAROLINA CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

1. Completion of an approved program

2. Satisfactory scores on the appropriate teaching area examination and the professional knowledge examination. While these examinations must be taken no later than the academic year containing the student teaching semester, it is recommended that they be taken no later than the semester preceding student teaching.

3. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 for undergraduate Professional Education Courses and 3.0 for Graduate Courses.
